Property Overview

Freewest recently acquired a 100% interest in 3 uranium properties by staking. The properties known as Can-Fer, Pancer and Snook Lake are located north of the city of Kenora in northwestern Ontario. All of the properties are well accessed by wood cutting roads and be explored year-round at reasonable cost. Initial exploration of the properties will be completed during the fall of 2007.

CAN-FER

The wholly Can-Fer property covers a number of historic uranium occurrences and is located 70 kilometres north-northwest of the City of Kenora in the Kenora Mines and Minerals Division, northwestern Ontario. It consists of 2 claims comprising 516 hectares and was acquired by staking.

The property was explored intermittently between 1968 and 1975 in programs involving scintillometer surveys and trenching. Uranium mineralization occurs as uranophane and is associated with pink granitic pegmatites which trend from east to west. The highest radioactivity occurs in shear zones within the pegmatite and in the country rocks. Sampling of two occurrences by the Ontario Geological Survey in 1968 yielded assays of 0.065% U3O8 over 15 feet and 0.380% U3O8 (7.6lbs/ton) over 5 feet, respectively.

PANCER

The 100%-owned Pancer property was recently acquired by staking and is located 60 kilometres north of the City of Kenora in the Kenora Mines and Minerals Division. The Pancer property consists of 2 claims comprising 516 hectares.

The property was explored in a limited way in 1955, 1970 and 1979 in programs involving geological mapping, scintillometer and magnetic surveys as well as diamond drilling (10 holes totaling 3010 feet). Currently, there are 3 known showings with the largest having dimensions of 120 metres by 50 metres. Uranium mineralization occurs in pegmatitic dikes where the average of a number of grab samples yielded 0.13% U3O8 (2.6 lbs/ton).

SNOOK LAKE

The wholly-owned Snook Lake property contains several historic uranium occurrences that were explored in 1976 and 1977 by prospectors. It was acquired by the staking of 2 claims or 516 hectares and is located 50 kilometres north-northwest of the City of Kenora in the Kenora Mines and Minerals Division.

Historical work includes trenching and the completion of 1 diamond drill hole. Uranium mineralization occurring as uranophane is hosted within quartz monzonite that is magnetite-bearing in places. Mineralization occurs over significant widths including a chip sample that returned 0.54 lbs/ton over 20 metres.
